FUNDAMENTALS OF TENNIS
Tennis is a racquet sport most often associated with singles play (one-on-one). In a doubles configuration, it may potentially comprise of four players. The main goal of the game is to hit the ball inside the limited lines on the opponent’s side of the court, and if their opponent is unable to return it, this player receives a point. The rules that make up a complete game, on the other hand, are a little more complicated, and we will go through them all in this tutorial.
We shall address this more below.

How Does Tennis Scoring Work?
If you are unfamiliar with how tennis works, its scoring system may seem strange. The point scoring method for a game starts at 0-0, and for each point scored, a player’s score would go up like thus, 15-30-40, and the next point would constitute a victory. Unless the score was 40-40, which is referred to as a deuce. In this case, the player who won the previous point will have a ‘advantage’ in the following point, and if they win the next point, they will win the game. If they lost the point, the score would reset to Deuce, and the process would be replayed until a winner was determined.
Because this scoring system is difficult for newbies, we will guide you through a gaming scenario. The first point is awarded to player one (15-0). He also serves an Ace to win the second point of the game (30-0), but his opponent responds by winning the next point (30-15), but this is all the fun his opponent has for this game as player A wins the next two points, first bringing the score to 40-15, and then claiming victory.
Advantage & Deuce
When the score reaches Deuce (40-40), player 1 or player 2 must score two consecutive points to win the game. “Advantage” refers to the first point scored following Deuce. In other words, the player who won the point when the scores were tied at 40-40 now has an edge, and if he or she wins the next point, he or she will win the game on tennis betting. During a game, the umpire would recognize this by stating the phrase “advantage” followed by the player’s name.
However, even if a player has this advantage, if their opponent scores against them on the next serve, the game will return to Deuce and the match will only be decided if a player scores two points in a row after Deuce, which can lead to many exciting moments within the game.
